Russia v Czech Republic

And so on to game two of Euro 2012. Everyone obviously expecting the low scoring opening games as usual. However this gives great value of Over 0.5 goals at odds of 1.15. I'll have some of that please.

Pliskova Twins ranked 10 & 11 in Czech Republic

That was quick!!! 1-0 after 15 mins. Get in the goals! Like I said loving the layers of goals so far but I'm sure they will get their revenge! I guess if you were hoping to get at least one 0-0 today you can but sit back and say "oops". Think I may leave it now till the tennis tomorrow as the pub is calling me :-)

England v Belgium

International friendly number 2 for the day. I fancied goals in this and 1.37 for Over 1.5 is far to juicy to walk away from so I'm in from the off.

Belgium have some good attacking players and I'm hearing Kompany has been injured in the warm up which should unsettle them at the back.

England line up is:

Hart, Johnson, Cahill, Terry, Cole, Gerrard, Milner, Parker, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Young, Welbeck

Looks like they've gone for pace up front. Not sure how they'll line up as that could be a 4-4-1-1 or 4-4-2 or as I hope a 4-3-3.

Good luck if you're on.

1-0 Welbeck bags it on 36 mins. Another before half time would be great...

Half time and remains 1-0. The second half subs may determine the number of goals to come.

Ah nuts! Finishes 1-0. Defoe could have had a hat trick in his spell on the park but them's the breaks.

Poland v Andorra

International friendly and Poland are 1-0 up after 25 mins when I have decided to back Over 2.5. Need 2 goals in the next 65 mins. Always a bit of a lottery betting on goals but Poland should be able to oblige. Odds 1.27.

2-0 after 36 minutes. :-)

LOL Penalty to Poland on 37 minutes. Don't miss and I'll take the nice easy cash please...

Football: Egypt v Uganda

I saw this match while I was at work and thought all my Christmases had come at once! Egypt can play a bit and Uganda are tosh!

I duly lumped on Egypt and layed my stake off after they went 1-0 up as couldn't monitor the match properly.

Football: Tottenham v Man Utd

Fergie and Bambi's love child
Well after last nights over 1.5 Goals disaster I have decided to have another go here. I was quite astounded by the odds on goals available! I was thinking of Over 2.5 expecting odds of around 1.80 but it was odds against!. The over 1.5 market was more than juicy enough for a safer bet at 1.36 when I was expecting 1.23/1.24!!

I do think that there will be 4 goals in this today but I will probably be wrong despite over 3.5 @ 3.70 being worth a punt.

Good luck if you're on and a nice 4-0 home win would be good! Preferrably with United bringing the game into disrepute in the process and being docked 10 points for that and another 30 for actively promoting alcoholism over the last 20 years with whisky nose in charge! Disgraceful!!

Well it just goes to show.... I know a lot less than the market!! 0-0 at halftime.

Football: Pachuca v Toluca

I am reliably informed that Mexican Football is not like grid iron in sombrero's and poncho's but in fact Association football played in Mexico! :-)

I have blindly followed Bruce on the over 1.5 goals market so blame himif it doesn't come in!! LOL

Mind you feel free to praise me if it does! ;-)

Got odds of 1.36 after 15 10 mins or so!

Now that my hard earned is on the line I am beginning to doubt Bruce's knowledge as he informs me that although he has been watching the match he still doesn't know which team is which!!

It's OK panic over! Bruce now knows who is who and also that football was brought to Mexico by miners from that bastion of footballing power .... Cornwall.

So I expect lots of sombrero's, bandits, big moustaches, chillies, tacos, cornish pasties, waves, bullet belts and above all else GOALS!!!

0-0 at half time I think Bowie may get his 1st outing in a long time! He better not be rusty!

OK still 0-0 after 70 we need Bowie!

Dance!! Dance!! Dance!!

Nope even Bowie's magic not working on this festering turd of a match!

Finishes 0-0!! A Bruce induced loss LOL

Football: Inter Milan v Bologna

Inter are looking rejuvinated since Leonardo took over. 1.31 at home looks a great price to me here against Bologna. With Inter's 2 games in hand they could be only 5 points off the leaders should they win them both so hardly a disaster of a season as some have said!

I thought about overs as I expect Inter to win comfortably but will take the safer option of a home win.

Well been having dinner and come back to see Inter are 2-0 up after 37 mins so quite happy with that.

1st half ends 2-0.

3-0!!!! 62 mins gone! That should be that!

4-0 after 71 mins!
4-1 Should have gone for goals!!

Football: Almeria v Deportivo La Coruna

With 33 mins gone I thought I'd have a punt on under 2.5 goals on odds of 1.38 and look to trade out at half time. It seemed everyone else had the same thought as I had to chase the market down very quickly to 1.33.

As my bet started to get matched ... "SUSPENDED" !!!!

1-0 Almeria! One saving grace is that not all was matched! So on the market opening I have decided to get the rest on at 1.87. No goals till half time should see the odds tumble again. I need 1.55 to get out green. May take till 55 mins ish for that though!

Half time and still 1-0 odds now at 1.70. Bring on the dull football please!

60 mins gone and I've greened out for  £4.18 either side at 1.40.

Perhaps I should have hung on! still 1-0 after 88 mins!

Football: Blackpool v Liverpool

ALL HAIL!!!

LONG LIVE THE KING!

King Kenny is back so Liverpool will soon return to their rightful position at the top of world football.

A great start with a goal after 2 minutes from Torres to give Liverpool a 0-1 lead. Unfortunately a sloppy error allowed ex Lincoln City player Gary Taylor-Fletcher to bag the equaliser.

So it's 1-1 at halftime and I think there is a tleast 1 more goal in this so I will bet accordingly. Taking Over 2.5 at 1.31.

Good luck all. Happy Punting!!

Oh and ... COME ON YOU RED MEN!!!

Well Blackpool won 2-1 but at least the bet came in!

Football: Galatasaray v Beypazari Sekerspor

Well there's nothing like a midweek Turkish Cup match to get the punting juices flowing! Thought about just backing Galatasaray outright but 1.17 seemed too skinny for me. The same was said of Over 1.5 Goals at 1.18. SO I have elected to punt on Over 2.5 at 1.56.

A risky bet? Perhaps the value was in waiting for the game to settle and hope for no early goals. I think the Overs should come fairly easily but we may have to wait a while. Probably 1-0 or something at halftime with the 2nd half being more free scoring.

Good luck if you're on. Happy Punting!

LOL 0-1 Nothing like Cup football for destroying banks!! Should mean Galatasaray have to push on and should mean the goals start flowing. 22 mins gone.

Halftime and only one goal scored as I thought, however the scoreline is the reverse of what was expected. To add to the mix apparently this is Galatasaray's last game in their current stadium! No way are they going to want to lose to such lowly opposition! Bring on the goals!

66 mins gone and still 0-1. All Galatasaray at the moment just hit the crossbar! Bowie may be needed soon.

70 mins still 0-1 I've seen some face masks in my time but the sub coming on looks ridiculous! Batman wears a smaller mask!

72 mins GOOOOOOAAAALLLL 1-1 that's better !!!

80 mins Goal disallowed for offside... and rightly so :-(

81 mins GOOOOOOAAAALLLL 2-1 Overs landed

A Rocky Few Days!!!

Hello Blogosphere!

Sorry not been able to update the blog as I've been busy with other things while having a punt! Perhaps I have learned a lesson there! Terrible few days punting as you will see below!

I am posting in chronological order starting with the oldest working down to the latest so kind of the other way up from the normal blog layout...

Tennis: Tsonga v Garcia Lopez = LOST £335.52

Football: Inter v Napoli Over 3.5 Goals = WON £26.82

Tennis: Stepanek v F Mayer = WON £25.47

Tennis: Kvitova v Pavlyuchenkova = WON £16.02

Tennis: Tipsarevic v Nishikori = WON £31.55

Tennis: Wawrinka v Haase = LOST £200.35

Darts: Dekker v Thompson = LOST £30.93

Football: IAPE Sao Luis (Y) v Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte (Y) Under 2.5 Goals = LOST £69.00

Oh well onwards and upwards. Happy Punting!

Football: Charlton Athletic v Swindon Town

Should be a comfy home win here for Charlton IMHO. However I'm just after a few cheeky quid on a goal being scored while I look at tonights darts and tennis. Laying No next Goal at 14.5.

Missed it as I was having my dinner but 1-0 Charlton.

Lay No Next Goal Wins

Football: QPR v Bristol Cty

I've gone for the Over 1.5 goals here  at 1.28 if I ever get matched! All matched now!

QPR are at the top of the table and scoring plenty especially at home. Bristol City are sitting mid table and though not free scoring they do average a goal a game away from home.. it's just that they let in more!

I would have thought 2-0 to QPR would be a comfortable score line, if Bristol score first then all the better as QPR will probably win 2-1.

All the best if you're on and let's hope we don't need Bowie!! Happy Punting.

Hmmm Halftime and still 0-0. However 2 seasons ago in the same fixture 0-0 at halftime ended 2-1. Ou at evens now so the switch is out of the question. Come on the goals.. sending Bowie to warm up in the interval!

Just checked the 1st half stats and QPR have had 13 shots to Bristols 2. You would have expected at least a goal from that lot. Perhaps it would help if they got more on target as only 3 of those have been!

0-1 after 50 mins get in my little beauties from Bristol! Now for the equaliser please! Feel for the QPR backers at 1.56 though. Their season on verge of derailing???

Goal!! 1-1 Get in!!! 53 mins

I have layed No Goal in the Liverpool match at 12.0. Not matched yet but shoul be by kick off.

Atletico Madrid v Sevilla

Moving swiftly on from the darts to the Spanish Football.

I wanted to back 1 goal in the second half but I just missed it with a goal in the 48th minute to make it 1-1. However I'll have a stab at another so getting on Over 2.5 at 1.45 after 50 mins!!

I'm hoping this doesn't take too long or indeed that I need to bring Bowie off the bench.

Hmm 70 mins gone and still 1-1. Bowie is just doing light exercises down in the corner.

Red card for Sevilla after 73 mins but not sure if that is a help or a hindrance at this stage!

I think it's Bowie time!! 5 mins to go so here it is:

Last 2 minutes + Injury time!! Dance dance dance my little Spanish friends!!

90 mins is up and only 3 added the writing is on the wall here!

Over 2.5 Wins
Profit: £64.34

Reading v Liverpool

FA Cup 3rd Round today.

I am a Liverpool fan so perhaps I shouldn't have taken this bet but looking at Liverpool's starting line up they have to be lumped on from the off in my opinion!

The over 2.5 goals at 1.84 was also very appealing but I have just opted for a straight Liverpool win.

Good luck if you're on and come on Liverpool let's restore some pride this season starting with a cup run (win) :-)

Reading open the scoring!! 1-0 and to be fair Liverpool have been poor!

As I am watching the game and it is nearly a full strength team I thought I'd put my opinions of the current squad down:

Cavalieri: Decent back up
Johnson: Good attacking full back way over priced though.
Aquillani: Who knows?? A LOT of money!!!
Agger: Good player
Gerrard: Homegrown Hero
Torres: Truly World Class
Voronin: Useless
Riera: Shows glimpses every now and then good back up
Aurelio: Not been the same since injury
Benayoun: Too lightweight made to look good by appalling performances around him.
Krygiakos: A make do signing
Kuyt: Works hard but not good enough paid striker prices too.
Babel: I think he has bags of potential play him up front Rafa!!
Mascherano: Over hyped but good player. Heart elsewhere.
Lucas: Lost for words here!
Insua: Widely tipped for greatness but I just don't see it.

1-1 Gerrard Equaliser!!! C'mon..

Carragher: All heart and very lucky not the real talent he is praised as being. Amazed he has had such a good career. Must be the only pro footballer who needs to take a run up to pass it! Too slow now too.
N'gog: PSG thought it was a joke when we offered £1.5m - enough said
Reina: Top draw keeper
Spearing: Local lad not seen enough of yet
Degen: anither injured signing!
Plessis: Youngster not seen enough of.
El Zhar: 23 now so not quite sure when he will be old enough!! Obviously crap!
Darby: Youngster not seen enough of!
Kelly: Youngster
Irwin: Youngster
Skrtel: Decent player
Dossena: Another international arrives at Anfield and is either injured or not good enough.
Eccleston: Youngster
Ayala: Youngster
Hansen: Youngster
Gulacsi: Youngster
Amoo: Youngster
Pacheco: Hotly tipped youngster
Bruna: Youngster

So I reckon we have a Premiership level team of: Reina, Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Gerrard, Mascherano and Torres. Such a pity that the Premiership isn't a 5 a side competition!

Right that's it I'm firmly in the Rafa out camp now after supporting him for so long! He hasn't got a clue what his team or players should be doing. Wasting the abilty of the good players and surrounding them with over priced rubbish!

By the way can you tell it was 1-1?

Cercle Brugge v Standard

Just for Rev a little bit of Belgian Football.

The score is 2-0 with 68 mins played when I decide to get in with a back of Cercle Brugge. Odds of 1.09 seem fair enough with the home side having a 2 goal lead to defend.

I notice the Villa v Liverpool game is still 0-0 with 70 odd mins played. I knew the under 4.5 was the bet there!

And even green after 80 mins. £3.58/£3.57 on all outcomes.

Everton v BATE Borisov

Yet another 0-0 at half time that I am getting on 1 goal or more in.
Hopefully there will be openings soon as I think Everton have quite a few kids on tonight who may tire.

0-1 :-) Bet landed!

MTK Budapest v Debrecen

I decided to get on this at half time with the score at 0-0. Only want to bet on a goal being scored so have plumped for 1 goal or more in the total goals market.

1-0 after 77 mins. I was beginning to get rather nervous there!

2-0 !! Still looking for a Christmas link!!
