England v Italy

England in the quarter finals eh! 3 weeks ago it was all doom and gloom and they had no chance of qualifying from the group. Now most people don't give them much chance against the Italians yet all the talk is of playing the Germans in the Semi's LOL.

I believe they can win tonight. More importantly I believe there will be goals. I predict 3 goals in fact with a 2-1 result being the outcome. Hopefully to England but could be to Italy.

Everyone else seems to think it will be 0-0 and the Over 0.5 goals odds at 1.16 show this. England aren't as good defensively as everyone keeps saying and have ridden their luck so far. As for Italy they can be ripped apart at the back. The odds seem to think this is an Italian team from 20+ years ago! It is not so I'm piling into that price now as I'm off down the pub with the boys to watch this one (on a school night too!!).

Germany v Greece

Final bet to catch up on this one as I thought about taking the very juicy 1.15 on Over 0.5 goals last night in the Spain match but chickened out!

However in this one I couldn't believe the odds for Over 1.5 so piled in.

Lahm opened the scoring in a very one sided 1st half. Amazingly Samaras equalised on 55 mins to give me my win with what may have been Greece's first attack of the match lol.

The Germans then picked up a gear and went 4-1 up with goals from Khedira, Klose and Reus. Greece got a consolation through Salpingidis from the penalty spot in the 89th minute.

This was the next opportunity to have a punt. Again I went for the safe option of Over 0.5 goals to keep the bank ticking along as I would have no opportunity in play.

The Portuguese left it fairly late and my nerves would probably have been in tatters had I been watching! But Ronaldo duly came up trumps in the 79th minute to give Portugal and me the win.
