Errani is appearing in her 1st singles Grand Slam final. In fact her best previous slam performance was a quarter final appearance in Australia this year. Her previous best at Roland Garros was a 2nd round appearance last year where she was unceremoniously dumped out by Daniella Hantuchova.
Sharapova has been strong throughout this tournament despite a wobble against Zakopalova where she lost her only set of the campaign. Errani has only dropped two sets herself but her matches have been a lot tighter. Add in the extra matches she has played in winning the doubles here with Roberta Vinci and it keeps adding weight to the arguement to back Sharapova. Not to mention the fact she's still hot! ;-)
So here we go then I'm going in from the off. Taking 1.30 on Maria as I think that is great value for the overall match. I've no doubt that she may trade higher especially if she has to serve 1st because she'll probably get broken. I'm taking it now though because there is every chance that Sharapova could run away with this one from the start.
